Big Boys Don't Cry???
Maruti would have been more apt! He clings on to my mom and cant stand her sleeping. Wakes up so early in the day to catch the sun rays and hear the chirping birds. Can roll so fast from one point to other that my sis and mom have to literally be on their toes. he s got 6 teeth now, but believe me when he bites.. he definitely wants to severe a part of anything he s bit on to :)
Fav Past time: Pulling my mom's hair,
If my dad's busy reading a newspaper, he thinks its just a pretence for peek-a-boo and tears the paper apart. He always prefers a Bird's eye view of things.. meaning my mom and priya have sore arms. Put him down for a minute.. and you can hear reverberating screeching shrills :)
And come to think of it.. he s just 9.....9 months OLD.
This little fellow.... has 'SPECIAL' written on him since the day he was born... 08-08-08.. beat that date for a Birthday :)
Bless this kid that he becomes an epitome of success and conquers what no man has even thought before...captains log..year 2035 :)
I miss these magical moments... I am thousands of miles away staring out of the window in to eternity, looking at the rain drops drip on my window and imaging all the moments and reliving the webcam experience..thinking of the bundle of joy that GOD has blsessed us with and tears rolling down my eyes...... making me wonder.. do big boys cry?

Fast & Furious
Fast & Furious: Starring: Vin Diesel, Paul Walker & Michelle Rodriguez 3***
Fast Moving Cars, scantily clad babes, loud music what else do you need? May be a Corona? :) It is an interquel set between the second and third films though many fans argue that this film is a direct sequel to the first film and does away with the second altogether. The plot connects with the original film of the series from which Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez, and Jordana Brewster reprise their roles.
The movie starts with hijacking of Fuel Tanks in Dominican Republic and really sets the pace for things to come...believe me you will love this part (Don't miss the beginning!!)

Dominic(Vin) receives a phone call from his sister Mia (Jordana), who tells him that Letty (Michelle Rodriguez- 20% Angel 80% Devil, thick inch of grease under her nails--- that's the lady.) was just murdered. Dominic returns to Los Angeles, California, to find out who murdered Letty.He finds that one of Braga's henchmen killed her with no remorse after drug trafficking from US to Mexico under the radar.Brian (Paul Walker) now reinstated with the FBI is assigned to track down a notorious drug lord named Arturo Braga. Brian, after chasing down a criminal receives information also leading to Braga. Braga needs drivers to transport and its a no brainer guessing who all would be driving the cars. Yup Vin and Paul after racing with two other fellas. Race was fun and again refers to the original where Paul does a Nitro a bit early and Vin saying.."too early and then ignites NOS" to over take him. This time around its Vin's turn though...
After few screeches and flips and driving in tight corners they kidnap Braga and try to take him over across the border to hand him over to the authorities. But Braga's henchmen including Phoenix (who kills Letty) try to release hi boss.. run of the mill chase scenes.. and finally gets banged head on in to another car by Vin completing his revenge. Braga is captured all is hunky dory, Vin doesn't want to run away and gets tried, but court sentences 25 yrs in prison..... The movie ends with Vin on his way to the Prison in a bus and Brian, Mia and two others in their cars over taking the bus... and titles follow leaving it to the viewers imagination what would have followed next...

Testing Nikon D90
Manish my good friend was kind enough to lend his Nikon D90 which has this beautiful live view feature. I just put it to its paces and found that its really exciting. The features of a motion picture camera which records @ 24fps and imbibes the cine gamma giving us awesome depth of field.. and come to think of it that its a DSLR not a video camera is phewww out of this world! I havnt done justice to its potential just few random capturing, with more time over the weekend, I shud be able to edit it better! My verdict!!! Must buy incase you are serious about photography as the possibilities are literally endless with this D90

Knowing - **1/2*
Nicolas Cage, Alex Proyas team up for the super natural Knowing! After I-Robot I had very high expectations from Alex Proyas. he is one of the very few directors who uses visual effects to tell the story rather than getting lost in the 3d web , which I believe is a very thin line...
The world is coming to an end and all that can save us from total annihilation is a piece of paper which was buried deep in a time capsule by a class of elementary school kids envisioning what the future would look like...
Come 2009, the capsule is opened and the numbers on the paper match with accuracy to places, events and death tolls..... and the fun part begins when the paper ends with a date which is not so far in the future...... Is the world as we know it .. coming to an end? What are the numbers? A number from some spiritual/ alien source which wants to help us? Thats what the knowing is abt..
Few scenes in the movie steal the show.. excellent vfx and gripping story telling but.. not a convincing enuff end....

Just back from Clive Owen, Julia Roberts starred Duplicity.. Oh Boy it was slow from the word go!! But .. it was never meant to be an edge of the seat thriller. The plot has a strong under current of romance and Clive lights up the screen with his presence..

- Spoiler: Stop reading ahead if you want to watch the movie as am gonna jot down the twist in the movie.. Oh Yeah, its twisted and funny..here s the gist. two agents want to make 40 mn$ by duping two big multinationals and in the end learn that they were used as pawns for something which was much bigger than what meets the eye! I rate it * * * esp for Julia roberts who s returning after a long gap since (Charlie Wilson's War * Oceans Series) and Clive... he s definitely going to be the one to look out for!
